FOOT AND ANKLE INJURIES
Acute Injuries:
What is it? | Signs & Symptoms | Treatment | |
Turf Toe | Occurs when your big toe bends beyond a normal range of motion, which is caused by 'sliding' within your shoe. |
|
|
Sprained Ankle | Occurs as a result of body weight pushing down on the ligaments, which support the ankle. A majority of the time, inversion sprains are to occur which means the sole of the foot faces the medial side. When this happens the ligaments on the lateral side are impacted. |

Ankle Strain | Occurs when the tendons in the foot become inflamed. The peroneal tendons are frequently impacted when a strain in the ankle region occurs. |
