ACUTE INJURIES
Strains, sprains, bruises, fractures and dislocations are the most common types of acute injuries that are to occur in the elbow/arm. If a persons elbow gets bruised, they could be encountering a small blood vessel rupture. One of the main acute injuries which occurs most often is an elbow hyper extension. Listed below are some common acute injuries athletes may encounter.

Elbow Hyperextension | This injury occurs when an individuals elbow joint ends up being bent beyond its normal range of motion. Ligaments and bones located inside a persons elbow can be damaged by this injury, and the elbow may also dislocate. |

Ligament Sprains | An overstretched or torn ligament. |

Fractures | A break in the bone; Fractures often occur at the distal end of the humerus, or the proximal end of the ulna or radius. |
